I started out in 1967 at KQRS AM/FM Golden Valley, Mn. (Mpls. burb) One of the FIRST 5 stations in the country to be "underground" and play Rock on FM!! Used to get tapes from the UK and have Stones albums (and Others) BEFORE the record company's....drove them NUTS!!! "Where'd you GET that?? ...... Ah, I dunno, came in the mail." It was a circuit that we first 5 had, someone had a connection and we dubbed and mailed it off to the other stations!! It was (unlike today) ALL about the music! Plus all about the segue. Could you take your audience on a 'ride'? Rachmaninoff to ELO to Johnny Winter!

Chased consultants around the country for years until there were NO more "free" stations left, for the person in the booth to make the call. We had music meetings (everyone got a copy of the lp,) usually a box of 25 or 50 were delivered by the record rep, and we'd all listen at home and meet at the MD's house (have a smoke & and beer) and decide what cuts to play. Ah, the REAL "Back In The Day"!!!

Worked the LOOP in Chicago for about 6 years (Dahl & Meyer-Skye Daniels-Mitch Michaels) whatta rocket ride!! At LOOPfest or any concert, people would grab and pull on you for autographs, freebies or "gimme you shirt man, you guys are the best!!" It was kinda scary. Spent 14 years in Tampa and was part of the Original 98 Rock, worked WQYK Country (!!) for a few years and the last 9 years at 95 YNF.. a legendary rocker that CBS spun off with Cox and left us all on the street wondering whaaaaaa? We were #1 for eons and the only CBDS O&O the was consistantly in the black making millions per quarter....ah, politics.

I've been doing Voice Work for the last 8 years, and like most, after 9/11 biz went in the dumper. That coupled with the fact it does NOT take $70 or $80 Thousand to set up your own studio anymore (multi-tracks-compressors-harmonizers-Quality mic. etc. etc.) and almost anyone with a GOOD computer can set up under a G-note. I use a Mackie board-Quattro USB Sound Card-Sound Forge-Vegas & Neumann mic ...... gotta be Top Shelf.....Hey, Clapton never recorded on a Sears Guitar! Hopefully I stand out with this set of pipes, I don't sound like an old Sports Jock or old time Top 40 yolker (unless the client wants that delivery...I go way over the top with it.). I've been the voice of the ESPN/ABC X Games for the past 6 years, and Image Radio and TV from small to Large markets. Check the Page.. click and listen.....and enjoy!
